8. saddle up!

i know my besty/sister will appreciate this post. my new favorite tv show is called the last american cowboy. what's even funnier is that even if you don't know much about farms/cows/etc, this show has drama that only reality tv can portray. every part of this show reminds me of the pioneer woman and marlboro man and my friend kt...who i i still have to go visit her home in indy!!!! here's a clip of the video below:

7. "kittens inspired by kittens!!!!!!"

So ever since I was 12 I adopted a love for cats. I know crazy, right? Well in the recent days I've decided that cats are truly a joy of life because they love me and will never leave me, unlike men ha. I mean I've said it before that I was 'one bad relationship away from being a crazy cat woman' and seeing that I have 9 cats back on the farm and no prospects I think that maybe my destiny. I guess only time will tell. 

6. "MAILTIME!! here's the mail it never fails it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes i want to wail MAIL!"

today i received 2 letters in my mailbox. nothing brings more joy to the end of the day than a lovely letter. and whenever i get mail, i feel this pressure of a "mission" that i have to complete in writing them back. i have to brag and say that i'm pretty good at responding if you write me a letter. i absolutely love and believe in snail mail...i hope my kids' kids' kids still enjoy snail mail when they are my age :)

This tjol moment happened to me last night at a bible study. My friend was talking to this girl that I've met multiple times. I know her whole life story, no not because I've stalked her on facebook, but because she grew up with Danielle and went to Auburn. So my friend's talking to this girl and I'm just listening. I didn't want to chime in because I knew that the girl didn't remember me. And sure enough I was right! She goes "I don't think we've ever met??" Ugh, those words are so familiar to me because somewhere along this bumpy road of life I've become "forgettable." As I drove home I contemplated whether to dye my hair and thought of how to make a better first impression, just anything to be rememberable! Well the more I thought about this situation, the more I began to see God's grace within the awkwardness! I mean, even when I feel invisible, small, and nothing to the world, God sees me, knows me, and still loves me! So amazing!! So I'd have to say that God's grace and unfailing love in life's awkward situations is totally a tjol moment.

4. who needs candy when you have cantaloupe?!?

today i went to the local farmer's market for fresh maters and a cantaloupe. as i carefully examined every melon to find the perfect one, i couldn't help but embrace this little joy of life moment! i just can't think of anything that's better than the sweet taste of a fresh cantaloupe on a sweltering summer day! -k

3. it's that time...pumpkins :)

pumpkins are definitely PERFECT joys of life. what more could you ask for in the fall then perfect weather, a perfect pumpkin spice latte, roll the windows down, drive with the perfect weather and latte, and at night bake a perfect pumpkin pie. who doesn't love pumpkins? so this is an ode to pumpkins...and specifically a pumpkin spice latte- JOY OF LIFE!

After spending 30 minutes trying to interpret the Bread & Company lunch menu I realized the joy of simplicity.....No wonder why so many people have iphones, so they don't have to think for themselves.

1. "here's a quarter, call someone who cares".

after spending an hour searching high and low in every nook and cranny of my car and purse, i realized having enough quarters to do laundry is a joy of life. thankfully, between me and katie, i had enough to dry 2 loads of laundry, when i thought i was only going to be able to afford one.
